The Products tab

The Products tab is where you can find and manage your products. Products are templates for stock items, and they allow you to quickly add new stock items to your kitchen, by performing actions.

Products are listed alphabetically by name.

 

Each product has:

• a name

• a brand

• a photo

• a note icon

• action buttons.

In the Products tab you can:

• add a product

• edit a product

• search for a product

• view a product photo

• change a product photo

• view and edit product notes

• show your stock items for a product

• perform an action

• delete a product.

To edit a product

Select the product.

​

To view a photo full-size

Tap on the photo.

​

To change a photo

Tap and hold on the photo, then choose an option. Options are:

• replace the photo with a photo taken using your camera

• replace the photo with a photo from your photo library

• remove the photo.

To view and edit notes

Tap on the note icon. The note icon shows the status of your notes:

• a line-filled icon for notes

• an empty icon for no notes.

To perform an action

Tap on an action button.

​

Add a product

​

1. Enter a name for the new product.

2. Select the done button.

​

Search for a product

​

Enter a search term into the search bar. Products with a name that contains the search term will be shown, and the search term will be entered into the new product field as a new product name.

If the product does not exist, you can add it as a new product. There are three ways to do this.

​

Method 1

1. On the new product name, swipe partially to the right.

2. Select the plus symbol.

​

Method 2

1. On the new product name, swipe fully to the right.

​

Method 3

1. Select the new product name, and edit it as required.

2. Select the done button.

​

Show stock items for a product

​

There are two ways to show stock items for a product.

 

Method 1

1. On the product, swipe fully to the left.

​

Method 2

1. On the product, swipe partially to the left.

2. Select the hourglass symbol.

​

If you can't see the hourglass symbol, you don't have any stock items for that product. You will see a trash symbol instead.

​

Delete a product

​

1. On the product, swipe partially to the left.

2. Select the trash symbol.

​

If you can't see the trash symbol, you can't delete the product, because you have some stock items for that product. You will see an hourglass symbol instead.
