The Brands tab

The Brands tab is where you can manage your brands.
Brands are listed alphabetically.
​
Each brand has a tag symbol to show the status of the brand. If the tag symbol is filled, you have some products and/or stock items for that brand.
​
One brand will also have a star symbol to show that it is the default brand. By default, new products and stock items will have the default brand.

In the Brands tab you can:

add a brand
-
edit a brand
-
search for a brand
-
set the default brand
-
show your products for a brand
-
show your stock items for a brand
-
delete a brand.

Add a brand

Enter a name for the new brand.

Select the done button.

Edit a brand
​
-
Select the brand.
-
Edit its name.
-
Select the done button.
​
Search for a brand
​
Enter a search term into the search bar. Brands beginning with the search term will be shown, and the search term will be entered into the new brand field as a new brand name.

In the brand does not exist, you can add it as a new brand. There are three ways to do this.

Method 1

On the new brand name, swipe partially to the right.

Select the plus symbol.

Method 2

On the new brand name, swipe fully to the right.
​
Method 3
-
Select the new brand name, and edit it as required.

Select the done button.

Set the default brand
​
There are two ways to set the default brand.

Method 1

On the desired brand, swipe fully to the right.
​
Method 2
-
On the desired brand, swipe partially to the right.

Select the star symbol.
​
If a brand's tag symbol is filled, you have some products and/or stock items for that brand. You can show these products and stock items as follows.

Show products
​

On the brand, swipe partially to the left.
-
Select the barcode symbol.
​
If you don't see the barcode symbol, you don't have any products for that brand.
​
Show stock items
​
There are two ways to show stock items.

Method 1

On the brand, swipe fully to the left.
​
Method 2
-
On the brand, swipe partially to the left.
-
Select the hourglass symbol.
​
If you don't see the hourglass symbol, you don't have any stock items for that brand.
​
Delete a brand
​
If a brand's tag symbol is unfilled, you don't have any products or stock items for that brand. You can therefore delete the brand, unless it is the default brand. There are two ways to do this.

Method 1

On the brand, swipe fully to the left.

Method 2

On the brand, swipe partially to the left.

Select the trash symbol.
​
If you can't see the trash symbol, you can't delete the brand, because you have some products and/or stock items for that brand. You will see a barcode symbol and/or an hourglass symbol instead.
​
If you can see the trash symbol, but it has been crossed out, you can't delete the brand, because it is the default brand.
